Cory Levy and Jermaine Dupri will visit Georgia State September 10 to talk with student entrepreneurs in the Student Center Speaker’s Auditorium (find out how to RSVP at the bottom of this article). The music mogul and young tech serial entrepreneur will offer insights on entrepreneurship and the convergence of the tech a music industries.
Cory Levy is Co-Founder and COO of After School. After School is the fastest growing social network for teens. Cory raised over $1 Million for his company at the age of 19, making him one of the youngest ever to raise venture capital. He is also the founder of the Internapalooza, the premier one-day event for Silicon Valley Interns, keynote speakers and writers. Cory’s work has been published in Under30CEO and College Startup Magazine, and he has been featured in Fortune, Fueled, VentureBeat, and TechCrunch. Cory took an absence after studying CS at the University of Illinois to start what is now After School. Cory is also an advisor to about.me.
Atlanta native, Jermain Dupri, Grammy Award-winning producer and hip-hop artist Dupri, is founder and CEO of Atlanta-based So So Def Recordings. He has worked with artists such as Mariah Carey, Will Smith, Usher, Ludacris, Lil’ Jon, TLC, Bow Wow, Jay-Z, Janet Jackson, Monica and Nelly.
Cory Levy, co-founder and chief operating officer of the mobile application ONE, will also be speaking at the event. ONE allows informs people when there are others around them with similar interests. Cory received one million dollars to the app when he was 19 years old and as since been involved in other companies.
